The museum was established in the fatherland of the poet, prose writer, playwright, literary historian and professor Vincas Mykolaitis-Putinas in 1971



Vincas Mykolaitis-Putinas’ parents were wealthy peasants who had a large family, in which Vincas was the eldest son


The poet’s childhood atmosphere manifests itself in the guest room where his family’s furniture, photos and books are exhibited.
